Singing together with the whole congregation is the specific for the baptist churches,
as well as choire singing.
Since 1928, the Church in Deva, which comprised by that time 29 baptised members, decided
to establish a choire. Therefore they asked for the help of the Music teacher Szekely, who
prepared the first choire, numbering 18 persons.
Over the years, the choire members increased, as the church members multiplied. Thus, in 1966 there were 34 choire members, in 1980 there were 100 and by 1988 the choire numbered 115. Over the years the choire was conducted by: Szekely, Bosorogan Pavel, Zorletean Traian, Borha Petru, Cohan Ioan, Poapa Stefan, Marza Ilie, Vilik Iosif, Ciora Avram, Jula Emil, Pantea Dorel, Marza Timotei, Marza Teofil, Aradi Daniela, Lupu Ioana. Presently, the choire is conducted by Ilie Marza, Daniela Aradi, Marza Teofil.
